ABOUT

Price signals translated into normal language.

WillItCostMore is an independent price-pressure early-warning project covering ten launch markets in the United States and Western Europe. It combines public and openly reusable economic, commodity, agricultural, weather, hydrological, logistics, inflation and currency data into explainable country-specific product scores.

What the score means

The Price Pressure Score is a directional pressure index from 0 to 100. It is designed to answer whether upstream pressure on a product is rising or easing, with an explicit confidence level and expected transmission horizon. It is not an exact retail-price forecast and a score of 70 does not mean prices will rise by 70%.

How it works

Each product starts from a transparent structural prior. Current observations then add or subtract pressure according to country-adjusted sensitivity, source quality and freshness. Missing data are not invented: unavailable inputs contribute zero score points and reduce confidence.

Independence and sources

WillItCostMore is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any government agency, retailer, central bank or data provider cited on the site. Source provenance and reuse considerations are documented openly.

Current status

WillItCostMore remains in Beta. The engineering pipeline, forecast history and provenance system are operational, but predictive skill has not yet been established over enough forward history to claim empirically validated forecast accuracy.
