This notice explains what WillItCostMore processes when you browse the site or create a price alert. The service is intentionally data-minimal during Beta.
✓ No non-essential cookies or ad/analytics tracking are currently set by the application. No non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies are intentionally set by the WillItCostMore application today. Because there is nothing non-essential to opt into, the current Beta does not display a cosmetic cookie-consent banner. If analytics, personalised advertising or other non-essential tracking is introduced, this notice and the consent mechanism must be reassessed before activation.

Price alerts
If you create an alert, we store your email address, selected market and product, interface language, a random unsubscribe token and the time the subscription was created. We use these data only to operate the alert you requested unless you separately choose another service in the future.
Browsing
The application does not currently set analytics, advertising or profiling cookies and does not embed third-party advertising or analytics scripts. Hosting infrastructure can still process ordinary technical request data needed to deliver and secure the service.
Controller
The person or entity responsible for deciding how personal data are processed is shown below. These fields must be completed with the real operator details before public customer acquisition.
Service providers
Render provides application/database infrastructure. Resend processes email addresses and message content to deliver alert emails. Providers may use subprocessors and may process data across borders under their contractual safeguards; their current terms and data-processing documentation should be reviewed as part of launch governance.

Retention
Active alert subscriptions are kept while the alert is active. Unsubscribing deletes the subscription record from the WillItCostMore subscriber database. Failed-email outbox records are automatically pruned after the configured retention period (30 days by default). Independent infrastructure/provider logs can have their own retention periods.
Why we process alert data
For the current alert flow, submission of the clearly labelled alert form is the affirmative action by which you request and consent to the alert service. Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, the intended legal basis for storing the alert subscription and delivering it is consent (Article 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time through the unsubscribe link, which deletes the subscription record. Marketing is not bundled with this consent.
International processing
WillItCostMore serves an international audience and uses cloud/email providers. Personal data can therefore be processed outside your country. The operator must maintain appropriate processor agreements and transfer safeguards where required by applicable law.
Your choices & rights
You can unsubscribe from an alert using the unique link in each alert email. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. Use the privacy contact below for those requests. Where applicable, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.
Changes to this notice
This notice should be updated whenever the product changes how personal data are collected, used, shared, retained or tracked. Material changes should not be applied retroactively in a misleading way.
